Speaking

“On behalf of the whole crew at the conference, thank you for a stunning and memorable presentation. There was an unmistakable groundswell of wonder at your courage, vulnerability, and honesty in telling your heartrending, painful, and hopeful personal tale…the presentation was a model of the courage and honesty we hope to instill in our trainees and develop in ourselves at every step of career -- especially when we encounter the inevitable unfortunate events and mistakes that are inherent to our work.”

Dr. Pensa’s session on self-coaching strategies to manage litigation stress was one of the highlights of our conference. Dr. Pensa is a dynamic and compelling speaker who shared concrete strategies and insights on how to navigate this ‘taboo’ topic. Attendees commented that what they learned can be applied to many stressful life situations. Highly recommend her as a speaker for any medical conference!

“THIS SESSION WAS AMAZING! I took FURIOUS notes and I can imagine putting this information and material to use IMMEDIATELY. I loved that this topic was addressed in such an up-front way. It was densely packed with material that I will use in the future.”

“An amazing speaker whose self-coaching strategies can be applied to so many stressful areas of life, not just litigation.”

”Just keep inviting her back!”

“Thank you so much again for sharing your story and a truly inspirational talk - everyone was riveted…Everyone came up to me and told me how it was perhaps the most inspirational hour talk they ever heard.”

As an ob/gyn, litigation has always been a fear of mine.  The stress of a bad outcome is bad enough. But a lawsuit on top of that?  I remember an anesthesiologist who took her life after a lawsuit. She had written a book about the case and I remember reading it, crying, and understanding why she had taken her life.  The guilt. The lack of control.  The isolation…

Dr. Pensa shared her darkest moments with a room full of strangers. I thank her for this vulnerability.   Her story was powerful and Dr. Pensa is an engaging speaker.  I did not expect to walk away from this talk feeling empowered, but that is how I felt.  Her personal experience and perspective helped me see that there are tools and resources that are available.  There is a way to survive a lawsuit without it ruining or taking away your life.”
